Colton Sceviour has been recalled by the Dallas Stars and may be available for tonight’s NHL game against the Montreal Canadians.
After getting sent down to Texas on Dec. 28, Sceviour had five points in two games. He also recorded a Gordie Howe hat trick against San Antonio and scored the game-winning goal against Oklahoma City in overtime.
Before being sent down Sceviour impressed in seven games with Dallas. He scored three goals and dished out an assist, including a game-winning goal.
Sceviour was not at Dallas’ pre-game skate this morning and made the trip with Texas to Charlotte. The flu bug is still going around the Dallas locker room and Shawn Horcoff is out tonight, which may have had an impact on the call up.
In another roster move, Texas has suspended defenseman Entienne Boutet. Boutet was recalled from Idaho on Jan. 1 and the suspended, at this time general manager Scott White declined to comment on the situation. It’s interesting to note that this is the first suspension in team history.
