Jussi Rynnas and Curtis McKenzie have been called up to the Dallas Stars.
Neither was at morning skate Wednesday and Texas Stars coach Derek Laxdal confirmed that both players had been called up.
Rynnas call-up likely signals that Anders Lindback will be placed on waivers and sent down to the Texas Stars if he clears.
While Lindback has struggled, Rynnas has won the two-horse race with Jack Campbell to move up Dallas’ depth chart.
The big Finn has a .913 save percentage and a 2.58 goals against average. He also started three straight games last week when Derek Laxdal was looking to put the “best lineup to win” on the ice.
With the pair of call-ups Texas will get a pair of players from the Idaho Steelheads.
Henri Kiviaho and Taylor Peters will both join the team, they are expected to arrive in time for Kiviaho to back up Campbell in net.
