Anders Linback was assigned to the Texas Stars on a conditioning stint this morning, while Jussi Rynnas is headed to Dallas.
It’s a move to get Lindback some playing time after he hasn’t played since Jan. 15. Lindback can spend up to 14 days in the AHL on conditioning stint and expect him to start at least the next two games for Texas.
This will be Lindback’s second stint in the AHL. In his first stint he appeared in five games and posted a .946 save percentage and 1.59 goals against average.
Rynnas has played well the past two games. He stopped 42 of 45 shots last Thursday against San Antonio and then shut out the Charlotte Checkers with a 34-save effort Saturday.
In another goalie move Maxime Lagace was recalled from the Missouri Mavericks. It’s likely a move to find Lagace another ECHL destination. In 15 games with Missouri, Lagace 3.01 goals against average and .885 save percentage.
Interestingly enough, Missouri is replacing Lagace with former Texas Star Josh Robinson.
In an unrelated move Jesse Root was assigned to the Idaho Steelheads. It appears the number of healthy bodies, and the fact Matt Mangene and William Wrenn can play forward, in Texas has made him the odd man out.
