Devin Shore’s hot start to the season has been rewarded, and the rookie forward was called up by the Dallas Stars on Sunday morning.

Shore has a team-leading 11 points (eight goals, three assists) in nine games with Texas, and he’ll join the NHL club for it’s upcoming road trip.

“We’re excited for him,” Texas Stars coach Derek Laxdal said. “That first call-up is exciting … he was so good for us last year in the second half of the season coming in from Maine. And then, of course, he’s had the great start to this season.”

It’s perfect timing for Shore and the Stars. While Dallas plays three games this week, Texas is off after today’s game until Saturday.
